# askCPL > askCPL is a forensic verification layer for digital content. We help writers, educators, publishers, and platforms detect AI-generated text using a 10-model ensemble, fact-check claims against live sources, and register original work to an immutable Content Provenance Ledger (CPL) with cryptographic proof anchored to Base L2. askCPL combines a 10-tool AI workspace with the Content Provenance Ledger — a cryptographic notary for digital content using SHA-256 fingerprints, Merkle chains, and (planned) on-chain anchoring to Base L2. We never store raw content; only hashes and statistical fingerprints. Reports are explainable: every AI-detection verdict ships with sentence-level reasoning and a per-model breakdown, never a black-box yes/no. ## What askCPL is for - **Writers & students** — confirm your own writing reads as human before submitting; humanize over-edited drafts. - **Educators** — get a defensible score with reasoning, not a one-bit verdict you can't defend in a meeting. - **Publishers & newsrooms** — vet inbound copy for AI generation and unverified claims before publishing. - **Creators & researchers** — timestamp original work to the CPL so authorship is provable later. - **Developers** — integrate detection + provenance via the REST API. ## Pricing - **Free** — 2,500 words/day across all tools. One free trial analysis with no signup. - **Monthly — $9.99/mo** — unlimited usage on every AI tool, full CPL access, no watermarks. - **Annual — $79.99/yr** — same as Monthly, ~33% saving. Cancel anytime. Payments processed via Paystack. Displayed in USD; charged in GHS at current rate. ## Pages - [Home](https://askcpl.net/): Platform overview, hero demo, how it works. - [AI Tools](https://askcpl.net/ai-tools): Content Analyzer, AI Humanizer, Grammar Checker, AI Summarizer, Paraphraser, Citation Generator, Fact Checker, Plagiarism Checker, Quiz Generator, Document Chat. - [Content Provenance Ledger](https://askcpl.net/provenance): Register content, prove origin, track revisions, manage co-authors. - [Merkle Chain Explorer](https://askcpl.net/chain): Browse the live cryptographic chain of every registered piece of content. - [Public Verification](https://askcpl.net/verify): Look up a registration ID or paste content to verify its provenance. - [Explained](https://askcpl.net/explained): Plain-language guide to how detection, fact-checking, and the ledger work. - [Pricing](https://askcpl.net/pricing): Plan comparison, per-tool limits, FAQ. - [Terms](https://askcpl.net/terms) · [Privacy](https://askcpl.net/privacy) ## How AI detection works (short version) We run each submission through up to ten independent models (a mix of perplexity/burstiness statistical detectors, transformer-based classifiers, and stylometric analyzers). Each model returns its own AI probability; we report the ensemble consensus, the agreement level, and the individual model votes. Sentence-level scoring highlights the specific passages driving the verdict. We never claim absolute certainty — the platform is a forensic aid, not an arbiter. ## How the Content Provenance Ledger works (short version) When you register content, we compute a SHA-256 hash plus a statistical fingerprint and append it to a Merkle chain. Batches of Merkle roots are (planned) anchored on Base L2 for tamper-evident timestamping. Verifiers can later prove a piece of content existed in a given form at a given time without us ever storing the content itself. ## Contact - Email: support@askcpl.net - LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/askcpl/ - Facebook: https://web.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61589010933465
